Jim Brackin Richard Brown Jesse Duenas

      Jim has been coaching the Shamrocks since the 1998 season after having coached at the 18 & Under level with the Marylanders for the past 14 years.

      Jim played college baseball at Troy State University in Troy, Alabama. As an ASA Men’ Major Division Fastpitch Softball player, Jim competed in 13 ASA National Tournaments, with 10 top-10 finishes. He was chosen 1st Team All-American 5 times, and chosen as a member of the USA National Fastpitch Team 4 times. He has twice competed in the Pan American Games, winning silver medals in 1979 in Puerto Rico, and in 1983 in Venezuela, and was an alternate for the 1987 event in Indianapolis. Jim has twice been the ASA Major National Tournament Batting Champion - batting .533 in 1979 and .563 in the 1986 event, and has a .402 lifetime National Tournament batting average. He had medal winning performances in the US Olympic Sports Festival in 1982 and 1986. In 1991, Jim was selected as an Assistant Coach with the USA Men’s Team which competed in the Pan American Games in Havana, Cuba.

      In 1996, Jim was inducted into the ASA National Softball Hall of Fame, located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is married and lives in Fairfax, VA. He and his wife, Mary, have one son, James, 25.

      Rich has been playing and coaching softball for over 25 years, currently playing for the McNealy Plumbing slow-pitch team. Rich is married and lives in Kensington, MD. He and his wife Joan have 4 children. Rich has been very valuable as Jim Brackin’s assistant coach for the past 10 years.

Jesse has been involved in fast/slow pitch softball, and baseball teams for over 20 years, both coaching and playing. Jesse was Head Coach for the 16U Jaguars 2000, 1999, and 1998 , and Assistant Varsity Coach for the Wakefield Warriors High School Softball team 2000 and 1999. Jesse has coached several years with the Arlington Girls Softball League, and Men’s A slowpitch teams, and baseball teams in San Diego, CA. He is married and lives in Arlington, VA, with his wife Jo Ellen and daughter Lizzie. Jesse also has one son Jesse II 23 yrs, and daughter Christina 26 yrs, both live in San Diego, CA.
